Mark your calendars: the annual Tarantula Fest is back at Henry W. Coe State Park on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Coe Ranch Headquarters/Visitor Center (9000 E Dunne Ave, Morgan Hill). This free family event celebrates the fall tarantula migration with guided hikes, live animal presentations, close-up encounters with tarantulas and snakes, expert talks on local geology and biology, kids’ activities, and beehive viewing, beekeeping and pollinator information presented by GBA. Admission is free, though the standard $8 day-use parking fee applies ($7 for seniors 62+) — carpooling is encouraged. The festival is put on by the Pine Ridge Association in partnership with California State Parks.
