Introduction to Beekeeping Class

Please join us Saturday, February 25th, at 4 PM, for a free, in-person introductory class on beekeeping.

Spring is just around the corner, and it’s the time of the year to start a bee hive or two. Gilroy Beekeepers Association is excited to offer a free introductory class, covering all the basic information you need to decide if you’d like to embark on your beekeeping adventure. The class will cover:

  • Bee hives
  • Selecting and constructing a hive location
  • Necessary equipment
  • PPE – bee suits and gloves
  • Where and how to get bees
  • How to install the bees in your hives
  • Budget
