As a registered federal 501(c)3 and California charity, the Gilroy Beekeepers Association (hereafter, “GBA”) strives to protect your privacy by following the Policy outlined below. - Name of family members (optionally for additional family membership).
- Email (member and family member).
- Phone (member and family member).
- Physical address.
- Beekeeping.
- Years experience.
- Number of hives.
Financial information is NOT captured or stored. Payment information (e.g. Membership Renewal, Equipment Reservation, etc) is passed through our website to the payment processor (PayPal, Stripe, etc), and is NOT stored by GBA.
Photos of members and others at club and public events may appear on the GBA Website.

- This information can be used to identify you, and contact you.
Purpose
- Membership updates, newsletters, announcements, and event signups.
Data Storage and Sharing
Your information is stored:
- On our website. The member contact list (with emails and phone numbers) is accessible to current members.
- On Google Sheets. Access is restricted to GBA Board of Directors.
Member name, email, and phone number are also stored on Mailchimp. We use Mailchimp to communicate meetings, events, etc. with you.
Sharing
Your information is not shared with anyone other than listed above.
Data Protection
- Membership information on Google documents and Mailchimp is limited to GBA Board of Directors.
- Any changes in data protection will placed in this document.
